We participated in the 1 Day Home Works Blitz on Oct 11th. Our home owner was Mrs. Louise Farrow. She has lived in her home for 38 years, and she just needed some help with a few repairs. She has 5 grown children, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren (the older great is 18!). She was so sweet, and she was so very thankful. A great group of us from the St. John's youth community showed up to work on her home. Samuel Miller and his dad met me a week prior to pressure wash the cornice and fascia. On the day of the blitz, we scraped and painted the cornice and fascia, we repaired her front storm door handle, we repaired to spots in her ceiling, and we also performed a couple other minor repairs. Mostly we painted.
